Top 5 interview questions you should know

Top 5 interview questions you should know

When you apply for a job and you are called for an interview there are various questions that are asked and the better prepared you are the more successful your interview would be. This article will help you with the 5 common questions asked in HR interviews with the suitable answer.

1.Tell me about yourself?
The 1st most common question asked by an interviewer is Tell me something about yourself? or Run me through your CV.
Now here the interviewer is not really interested in your answer, what they are looking at is your confidence, your enthusiasm and the passion that you answer with, so it’s the best time that you show off your communication skills. many people end up saying “I love watching movies” or “I love partying” No.!! that’s not the right way that you to answer this question.
What you need to talk about is your education, where you grew up or you can also talk about your past work experience if you have any and your personal interest
For example:- well I grew up in France and I studied accounting, I also worked for an accounting firm for about 8 months and I in my spare time I really like reading and also go out jogging only if the weather allows me to.

2.What are your strengths?
The 2nd common question asked by an interviewer is What are your strengths? Now here the interviewer is looking at how positive you think about yourself.
what you can say here is, “my strongest strength is attention to details, I totally believe in planning and execution, in fact when I was in college I use to really organise my week and many people have said I am quite approachable, so I believe these are my strengths.

3.What are your weaknesses?
Now here for this question you don’t have to be negative about yourself. I have heard people saying “I am a very impatient person” or people also say “I get angry easy” well that’s not the right answer.
The best answer to this question is by saying this “I think my weaknesses is that I am way too details oriented, I try to accomplish everything and I just want everything to be perfect, but then I realise that I am losing out on time, so I think that is one of my weaknesses.

4.where do you see yourself in five years?
Here the interviewer is looking at how committed you are going to be to this company and wants to know how long you are going to stick to the company. so one of the best answers that you can give here is “well, five years from now I think I would like to be in a management position, till then I would like to gain practical experience and also I would like to share and learn a lot of new things from my team members”

5.What do you know about our company?
This is a typical job interview question asked to find out how much company research you have done, like what do you know about the company?
Prepare in advance by searching for the company history on internet so you can provide relevant information about the company to the interviewer.
